Very happy to see this photo set by my good friend Dan Abbe appear on strange.rs. I remember talking to Dan right after he took this solo trip to Hokkaido and how it was such a positive experience for him. He was hesitant to show everyone (i.e., the Internet) pictures he took on the trip right after he returned. The few that he did show me were pretty extraordinary, so I knew that when the time was right, he was going to do something special with them that did the trip justice.
