Loving this Google Street View hack, highlighted in today’s Photojojo newsletter. Above is the stereographic-like rendering of the intersection I live on in SF.

How to Make a Tiny Planet in Street View
Stereographic Street View is a Google hack that lets you browse Street View in a way you’ve never browsed before.
It turns any address or pin you set down into a tiny planet!

Very happy to see this photo set by my good friend Dan Abbe appear on strange.rs. I remember talking to Dan right after he took this solo trip to Hokkaido and how it was such a positive experience for him. He was hesitant to show everyone (i.e., the Internet) pictures he took on the trip right after he returned. The few that he did show me were pretty extraordinary, so I knew that when the time was right, he was going to do something special with them that did the trip justice. Glad to see he did just that :-)

Despite being only 17-years-old, Olivia Bee has already attracted top clients with her intimate and poetic vision of teenage life. TIME asked 15-year-old fashion blogging phenomenon Tavi Gevinson to interview her about her life and art. See more here.

Late to the party, but just discovered that my DIY Photoweave tutorial for Photojojo was picked up by My Mind Spray, an awesome blog by artist Rotten Owl Sheep. It’s great to see the work of other photographers who liked the project enough to cut up some of their own prints and show them off to the world! Click through to see some of Rotten Owl Sheep’s killer photoweaves.

The iPhone Shooters “believe they are the first ones to shoot an entire wedding on the iPhone 4 - both photos and video.” Whether or not it’s true, the results are quite striking and definitely help support the argument that iPhone photography is “real” photography. (via @Photojojo)

This spastic weather’s got me down. I had a lovely week off between jobs and had nothing to do but whatever my heart desired, which was to spend lots of time outside taking photos. Well, mother nature had a different plan, and instead, it rained nearly every single day, and I found myself cooped up inside with a bad case of cabin fever. I managed to scoot out to a coffee shop down the street and brought my camera with me out of habit. I found myself taking photos of people scuttling around in the rain or trying to find shelter while waiting for their bus to come. It was a pleasant distraction and I actually like some of the shots that came out of it. Next time though, I’m gonna suck it up and drag out the old plastic bag setup. Photographers need to roam free!
